Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September 1, 2018

Today is September 1st, the first day of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! As we head back to school, we must keep in mind those who might not get this same opportunity. It is important that we keep in mind our purpose behind our Mini-THON, to not only raise money to help support children and their families who have been at war with pediatric cancer, but to celebrate the lives of those who have lost their battle and to honor the survivors.

This month, your leadership team has many exciting fundraisers planned that will start the new school year off with a bang! We cannot wait to see what this year has to offer!

Burlap and Bean Open Mic Night

February 22, 2018

With delicious food, incredible performers, and the wholesome environment, the Burlap and Bean Open Mic Night hosted on February 21st was a huge success! We loved getting to see all of the local talent that Marple Newtown has to offer. Our student performers, Sophia Salgado, Rebecca Wenger, Lila Wakely and Sergey Ryan performed beautiful renditions of a combination of popular songs and original pieces. Many of the adult performers were very supportive and genuine with our young audience, and dedicated their performances to us. We raised a total of $716 towards our fight against pediatric cancer. Thank you to Burlap and Bean for their hospitality and such a spectacular night!
